A heavy rainfall accompanied by wind storms has on Monday disrupted the ongoing 2021_1 POP examination at Bauchi Study Centre, Bauchi State.
The incidence, which damaged a number of physical structures in Bauchi metropolis, has equally affected the rooftop of the auditorium, hosting the 2021_1 POP examination at the centre.
Also affected by the downpour are the lightings and the socket wirings of same auditorium and other parts of the main building.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Uduma Oji Uduma, has commended the smooth take-off of the administration and conduct of 2021_1 Pen-on-Paper (PoP) examination, which began simultaneously across the 103 study centres of the institution, nationwide.
He disclosed this at Abakaliki Study Centre, Ebonyi State, where he monitored the 2021_1 PoP examination.
The Director, Research Administration of the National Open University of Nigeria, Prof. Chinedu Mafiana has paid an unscheduled visit to Kebbi Study Centre in Kebbi State.
Mafiana, who is a member Presidential Visitation Panel to Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, was on official assignment to the state.
NOUN News recalles that Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic is the housing the Kebbi Study Centre of the university.
The centre is still awaiting the state government to realise its pledge of providing a befitting place to situate the university.

As 2021_1 Pen-On- Paper examinations gets underway on Tuesday, students of the Gombe Study Centre have been cautioned against any form of examination irregularities during the exercise.
This was the thrust of discourse at the examination orientation exercise held virtually earlier on Monday in Gombe.
Director of the centre, Dr. Adamu Bappah, who read the riot act, told the students to respect and follow strictly all the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of examinations in the university.
