A delegation led by the director of the Special Study Centre, Nigerian Air Force Base, Prof. Nda Mundi, has visited the newly-appointed Commandant of the Nigerian Air Force Base, Kaduna, Air Commodore Muhammad Adamu Garba.
The visit, according to Mundi who extended the felicitation of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Femi Peters, was to congratulate the commandant, familiarise and intimate him on the already existing relationship between the two parties and also to build on it.
Equally, Mundi added, the visit was also to appeal to the new commandant on the need to intervene and follow up on the already tabled demands of the centre which hace been receiving attention at the NAF headquarters in Abuja.
NOUN News recalls that the centre had requested for more infrastructural buildings to fill the deficit in the area of office accommodation, e-exam and Pen-on-Paper examination and others.
In his response, Air Commodore Garba thanked the NOUN delegation for the visit, stating that the university is key in educational development in Nigeria.
He said power shift within the NAF formation is the stumbling block that delays the execution of the project, expressing his belief that the request is strongly being considered.
The Air Commodore promised to dig-in to the files and see the necessary effort to be made in terms of follow up within a short period and assured the visitors of his continued support to the centre.
The director was accompanied by the centre's Head of Administration and Principal Assistant Registrar, Mrs. Jagila Bitiyong, Mrs.Victoria Ochogwu and Head of ICT, Mr. Bashir Muhammad.
