NOUNAA to host varsities alumni workshop in Abuja


The National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA) will host a 3-day workshop of the Association of the Nigerian Universities Alumni (ANUA) at the university’s Model Study Centre, Dutsen Alhaji, Abuja.

The workshop, slated to hold between 25th – 27th August, 2021, will have the NOUN Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, as the Chief Host.

Advocacy: Gulak Study Centre woos medical personnel


As the 2021_2 semester registration continues across all the study centres nationwide, the Gulak Community Study Centre, Mubi, Adamawa State, has advocated for more enrollment of medical personnel into the university to enhance their  academic qualifications.

The director of the centre, Mrs. Margaret Yamtu made the call at an advocacy meeting with the Bill Medical Clinic and New Life Clinic in Mubi town, Adamawa State.

Yola Study Centre loses staff


A senior security officer at Yola Study Centre, Malam Bello Abubakar has died on Sunday, August 15, 2021 shortly after closing from work.

Announcing the sad event to the NOUN News, the director of the centre, Mrs. Tiling Marlin Yelyel, said the late Abubakar was crushed down by a speeding vehicle on his way home after closing from duty.

ANAN picks Port Harcourt Centre for professional exams


The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has selected the Port Harcourt Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) as the centre for its professional exams in the South-south geopolitical zone.

The 4-day examinations, which commenced on Tuesday, 10th August, 2021, will continue till Friday, with candidates drawn from the six states of the South-south region of Nigeria.

VC appoints Ekwueme as South-east Incubation Centre coordinator


The Vice-Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof Olufemi Peters, has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Loveth O Ekwueme as the new Coordinator, Incubation Centre, South-east Zone, Enugu.

The appointment, conveyed in a memo dated August 5th 2021 and signed by the Director, Human Resources, Mr. John J. Ubaji, on behalf of the Registrar, said Ekwueme’s appointment is with immediate effect.
