The Acting Director, Asaba Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Asaba, Delta State, Mr. Yusuf Adebayo, on Monday, March 25, 2024, was conferred with a Meritorious Service Award in recognition of his leadership capacity and service delivery at the centre

The representative of the organisers of the award, Forward News Media,” a popular media outfit in Delta State, Comrade Vivien Okafor, who is also its publisher, explained that the award was an outcome of a behind-the-scenes interview her organisation conducted on a cross section of students of Asaba Study Centre.

Okafor, who presented the award to Adebayo in the latter's office after a brief interview with him, urged the centre director to keep up the good work and to sustain the tempo of sterling service delivery at the centre.

Adebayo, in his response, expressed his gratitude to Forward News Media for recognising his efforts and contribution to uplifting quality service delivery to the people of Delta State, in particular and the Nigerian nation in general.

The director, who dedicated the award to the Vice-Chancellor of NOUN, Prof. Olufemi Peters, and his management team, for the opportunity accorded him to serve as centre director, also pledged his commitment to effective service delivery and to uphold the excellent quality of education transmission that NOUN stands for.
