The Director, Higher Everyday British School, Asaba, Delta State, Mr. Raymond Imafidon, has endorsed the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) along with its flagship mode of instructional delivery, Open and Distance Learning (ODL), as a potent instrument for the creation of access to affordable and qualitative tertiary education for Nigerians.

Imafidon, who said he is a student of NOUN, openly recommended the institution to his guests, during the end of session convocation and prize-giving ceremony of his school.

The educationist went ahead to share with his audience his recent experience as a testament to his endorsement of the university as an outstanding institution of higher learning.

"During the just concluded 2024_1 semester examination, I gave a ride to one of the students at my study centre, Onicha Ugbo Community Study Centre, Delta State.

"As we discussed on the way I got to know the student was a practicing medical doctor and Chief Medical Director of his hospital.

"He informed me that he had made futile efforts to gain admission for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme abroad before he heard about NOUN and took a step to enrol at Onicha Ugbo Community Study Centre for the programme.

The medical doctor had described his academic experience at NOUN as simple but fully loaded," he said.

Imafidon admonished his guests to take advantage of the flexibility, accessibility and affordability of NOUN programmes to enrol at the university to boost their academic status.

His testimonial made the job of the Director, Onicha Ugbo Community Study Centre, Dr. Osasere Owens-Sogolo, who was a special guest at the occasion, easy, as she had just a little to say to advocate for her centre.

Three other NOUN students were also present at the ceremony among whom was Mr. Osundu Onyemaechi Walter, a B.Sc Public Administration student and a teacher at the Higher Everyday British School, who on the occasion received The Bookworm Teacher Award.
