Exams monitoring: MIS director visits NAF Base Centre

The Director,  Management Information System (MIS) of the university, Prof Mukhtar Alhassan, has monitored the conduct of the ongoing e-examination at the Special Study Centre for the Nigeria Air Force Kaduna.

Speaking with NOUN News, Alhassan explained that the aim of the monitoring visit was to help the management asses the situation and ascertain whether there is need to improve on possible areas lapses.

It is also to ensure that there were favourable atmosphere for the administration of the exercise at the centres, he added.

He expantiated that the management looks at facilities at the centres to make sure they were adequate.

The director pointed out that this particular examination is unique because in involves extensive use of technology and making sure the ICT materials were okey, said Alhassan.

He stated that he was impressed with the equipments he had seen on ground except few things which were beyond the control of the centre.

He urged the centre's management to consider using generator non stop in the absence of uninterrupted power supply UPS at the exam intervals.

The director appreciated the fact that the centre was doing best but tasked them to do better.

Further urged them to effectively and efficiently make use of the limited resources to achieve maximum result.

Alhassan promised to raise and make recommendations for the lapses seen in order to improve on them.

On his part, the director of the centre, Professor Nda Mundi appreciated the visit by the director Management Information System and considered it timely.

He noted that it is interesting for the director of MIS to know the current situation and condition of the centre.

Further explained that the centre is continuing to attract students as the  enrollment level moves in a speedy mode.

He stated that the conduct of the ongoing e-examination at the centre is moving smoothly with no hitches so far recorded.

After monitoring the conduct of the examinations the director of the Centre accompanied the director MIS for facility Inspection.
