A NOUN Goodwill Ambassador, Alhaji Usman Salisu, on Thursday, 19th August 2021, paid a courtesy visit to the management of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Bauchi Study Centre.
Alhaji Salisu said he was at the centre to assess its operations with a view to finding areas of improvement being a stakeholder in the centre.
The visiting ambassador, who was received by the management and staff of the centre, was taken round for the inspection and assessment of physical facilities and structures.
After a brief meeting with the management of the centre, the ambassador said he would liaise with other stakeholders in the state to fish out some of the challenges confronting the centre and also help with development projects to enhance effective service delivery.
He advised the staff of the centre to be of good behaviors and continue to work as a team while discharging their duties, urging them also to steer clear of acts capable of tarnishing their image.
Earlier, the centre director, Prof. Mohammed Bello Abdullahi, who was represented by the centre's Senior Assistant Registrar, Zainab Mohammed, welcomed the ambassador and gave him a brief history as well as the challenges of the centre.
While thanking the NOUN ambassador for the visit, the director expressed the centre's readiness to work hand-in-hand for the development of the centre.
