Asaga-Ohafia Community Study Centre visits FRSC for advocacy

The Director, Asaga-Ohafia Community Study Centre, Dr. Nkata U. Kalu has led member of staff from the centre for an advocacy campaign to the Federal Road Safety Command (FRSC), Ohafia Unit Command, Abia State.

Kalu, while stating that NOUN is the only single mode Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institution in the West African sub-region, the director said the aggressive campaign was purposefully meant to up students influx to the centre.

He enjoined officers and men of FRSC to use the opportunity of their closeness to the study centre to enroll in any of the programmes in order to upgrade and acquire more knowledge towards improving their service delivery.

The director explained that the advantages of studying at the institution abound in terms of flexibility, accessibility, cost-effectiveness, among others.

On the part of requirements and processes of getting admission into NOUN, the Principal Assistant Registrar (PAR), Mr. Fineboy Onyemere, explained the nitty-gritty aspects of admission process, which arouse the interests of the officers.

Responding, the Assistant Corps Commander, Ebere Agwu, expressed her happiness about the visit and disclosed that they would utilise the advantages of having NOUN nearby the office so as to upgrade themselves academically for better service delivery.

At the end of the meeting, the centre director and the Administrative Officer II, Miss Ibeh Kosochukwu presented NOUN souvenir to the FRSC Unit's commander.
