The Asaga-Ohafia Community Study Centre, Abia State of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), has marked an epoch-making event when it participated in its maiden Matriculation Ceremony on Saturday, 23 October, 2021.
The virtual event, the university's 21st, was the first time the young study centre participated alongside other 103 centres nationwide.
It would be recalled that the community study centre was formally inaugurated on Friday 12th February, 2021, by the university management's team led by the DVC (Academic), Prof. Uduma Oji Uduma.
The centre director, Dr. Nkata U.Kalu, expressed his happiness development and pledged his commitment to take the advocacy drive round Ohafia and its environs.
The visibly-elated students were not left behind on this testimony, particularly as they considered themselves fortunate to be the pioneers of the centre.
While about thirty students matriculated, NOUN News correspondent also gathered that with aggressive advocacy campaign there is a huge possibility of students’ influx at the centre.
