Gambian Students Union entourage pays visit to NOUN centre

A 10-man delegation representing the Students Union  Government of the Gambian College, has paid visit to the Director, Wuse II Study Centre of the National open University of Nigeria, (NOUN) in Abuja.               

The leader of the team, Fatou M. Yaffa, who is also the president of the union, said the aim of their visit was  specifically enquire about the process and criteria on how their students can take advantage and get enrolled into the university programmes.       

“We are here with a Nigerian guide on a fact finding mission, to seek your audience as regards our students enrollment," he said.

The centre director, Prof. Grace C. Okoli, who received the delegation on behalf of management, explained the programmes, requirements and admission processes into the undergraduate and postgraduate  programmes of NOUN.           

Okoli further emphasisesd on the mandate, the mode of study and the flexibility method of the open and distance learning (ODL), system of studying with NOUN.             

The director, however, urged them to officially write to the university management for further collaborations between the two institutions.     

The visiting team indicated interest and assured of getting their students enrolled in January 2023.
