NOUNAA to host varsities alumni workshop in Abuja

The National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA) will host a 3-day workshop of the Association of the Nigerian Universities Alumni (ANUA) at the university’s Model Study Centre, Dutsen Alhaji, Abuja.

The workshop, slated to hold between 25th – 27th August, 2021, will have the NOUN Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, as the Chief Host.

A memo signed by the Deputy Director, Directorate of Advancement & Linkages, Mr. Gbenga Olufemi and addressed to the Director of Media and Publicity, explained that “other Vice-Chancellors, top administrators and other dignitaries in the society have been invited to grace the occasion.”

According to the workshop’s information brochure, the workshop, with the theme “Developing a Platform for University Alumni Association Contribution to University Education in Nigeria,” will be held at the Lecture Theatre Hall of the Model Study Centre.

Executive Secretary, National Teachers Institute (NTI), Kaduna, Prof. Garba Dahuwa Azare will be the Guest Speaker, while the Royal Father of the day is HRH Alhaji Umar Farouk II, Emir of Katagum and Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Akure & Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
