The Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN), in collaboration with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), have organised a symposium in honour of the NOUN’s former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Vincent Ado Tenebe.
The recognition of Tenebe was due to his high commitment to the cause of biotechnology development in Nigeria.
The symposium with theme: “GMOs and Vaccines: Myths, Advances and Prospects,”is scheduled to hold on November 18, 2024 by 10am at the Conference Centre of the university headquarters, Jabi, Abuja.
The symposium will feature Dr. Sylvester Oikeh from the African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF), an expert in agricultural biotechnology and global food security as the keynote speaker, while Prof. Oyewole Tomori, former President of the Nigerian Academy of Science will feature as the lead speaker, among other discussants.
