A heavy rainfall accompanied by wind storms has on Monday disrupted the ongoing 2021_1 POP examination at Bauchi Study Centre, Bauchi State.
The incidence, which damaged a number of physical structures in Bauchi metropolis, has equally affected the rooftop of the auditorium, hosting the 2021_1 POP examination at the centre.
Also affected by the downpour are the lightings and the socket wirings of same auditorium and other parts of the main building.
The situation has forced the management of the centre to temporarily relocate the ongoing examination to the e-Examination hall of the centre pending the repairs of the damaged facilities.
Reacting to the situation, the Director of the centre, Prof. Mohammed Bello Abdullahi, appealed to the university management to intervene as quickly as possible.
"We are appealing to the management of the university to kindly and urgently come to our aid by restructuring the rooftop, which is currently leaking and carry out other renovation works on some parts of the main building," he said.
NOUN News recalls that this latest development is coming on the heels of recent renovation works at the centre.
