Jokthan briefing markers in Kaduna

The Coordinator, Conference Marking exercise, Kaduna Centre, Prof. Grace E. Jokthan has briefed markers and subject officers to herald the commencement of the exercise.

The coordinator, in her speech on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, extended the felicitation of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, and disclosed that as it has been the tradition, the minimum qualification for a marker to partake in the exercise is doctorate degree.

She said the deadline for the conclusion of marking is set as Saturday, urging them to strictly abide by the marking guide as maintaining standard is the top most priority of the university.

Jokthan, who is also the director of ACETEL, enjoined the markers to effectively and duly sign the attendance list from the subject officers.

Moreover, she urged them to relate with the subject officers on any matter arising, or for more clarifications on areas that need such

In case of emergency situations like sickness, which is an unforeseen circumstance, the coordinator urged the markers to quickly return the scripts as the exercise is timely and excuses would not be entertained

While appealing to them to keep the scripts safe as missing a students script would have a negative repercussion on the student's life, Jokthan called on them to ensure valid and correct account details were provided to enable smooth payment as at when due.
