Cholera outbreak: NOUN department, FCTA set to sensitize Abuja community

The National Open University of Nigeria's (NOUN)  Department of Environmental Health Science, Faculty of Health Sciences, in collaboration with Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), have announced plan to commence sensitization campaign on cholera outbreak in the nation's capital territory.

The sensitization campaign is expected to berth at Gosa Kpanyi-Kpanyi village in the FCT.

The programme with the theme: 'Cholera, Stopping the Scourge' is scheduled to take place on 15 September, 2021, at Gosa Kpanyi-Kpanyi Village Market Square along Airport road, Abuja.

In a memo signed by the acting Head of Department of Environmental Health Sciences, Dr Saliu Oluremi, the main thrust of the outreach, is to create awareness of the disease amongst members of the community, thereby providing them with information that they required to keep themselves from getting infected and save lives.
