The National Open University of Nigeria's Regional Training & Research Institute for Distance and Open Learning (NOUN’s-RETRIDOL), and the CommonWealth of Learning (COL) will jointly hold a 3-day workshop on Quality Assurance Mechanisms for Dual -Mode Institutions in Nigeria.
The workshop is slated to hold between Tuesday 14th - Thursday 16th December, 2021, from 9:00am-5:00pm daily.
According to the director, RETRIDOL, Prof. Christine Ofulue, the objective of the workshop is to enhance the capacity of participants to deliver high quality Open, Distance and eLearning (ODeL) programmes.
The workshop, according to the organisers, is also aimed to reflect on trends in higher education generally and in Open and Distance Learning (ODL )in particular.
Ofulue also stated that the expected outcomes of the workshop include, improved competency in quality assuring technology-enhanced ODL and blended learning, strengthened capacity to implement internal quality assurance at institutional level, among others.
"The workshop is designed specifically for senior academics with responsibilities/ participation in quality assurance matters in dual mode universities," she added.
