In its deliberate effort to  achieve influx of students' enrollment, the advocacy team of Isulo Community Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Umunze in Anambra State, has on Wednesday, August 24, 2023, visited the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Umunze unit for advocacy campaign.

The acting centre director, Dr. Bibian Ugoala, who led the team, was warmly received by the Federal  Assistant Corps Commander, Mr. Boniface Iyakhemie.

Ugoala, while sensitising the FRSC officers about the operations of NOUN as an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mediated by technology, said the benefits of studying at the institution are  anchored on flexibility, affordability, quality course materials, among others.

"NOUN offers exciting academic programmes that when explored can add value and enhance the performance of your routine job," Ugoala stated.

The acting director added that "with the ODL mode of Instructional delivery, you can study in your offices as well as at your homes seamlessly."

She therefore advised   the FRSC officers to utilize this golden opportunity NOUN provided to improve on  their skills as well  increasing their knowledge.

At the event, the Principal Store Officer (PSO) of the centre, Mr. Sunday  Osaluwe, enlightened the audience on the basic requirements,  procedures and processes of gaining  admission into the university.

In a swift reaction, the Federal Assistant Corps Commander, Umunze unit, Mr. Boniface Iyakhemie, expressed satisfaction about the enlightenment and awareness of mondus  - operandi of NOUN, adding that NOUN is the appropriate institution the officers of FRSC would consider to enrol due to its flexibility.

The advocacy climaxed  with questions and answers.
