The Director, Africa Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (ACETEL), National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Grace E. Jokthan, on Thursday, November 16, 2023, monitored the conduct of the ongoing 2023_2 Pen-on-Paper (POP) examination at the Yola Study Centre, Adamawa State.
She was received by the Ag director of the centre, Mr. Olumide Aladuge, after which Jokthan observed the ongoing examination, which was hitch-free and well conducted at the centre.
The ACETEL director commended the study centre for its gender sensitive as she observed a nursing mother whose baby was crying and the management of the centre in their magnanimity brought the baby to the mother for breastfeeding.
She said this gesture by the centre will serve as an encouragement to other nursing mothers to join the university especially in an environment where education is not robust for women.
