Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Isaac Butswat, has disclosed that the university management will soon address issues of faulty elevators, non-functional generators and other infrastructural facilities, especially at the Lagos office and other study centres nationwide.

This was made known on Wednesday, 17 November, 2021 during the DVC’s 2-day tour of all facilities owned and controlled by the National Open University of Nigeria in Lagos.

Butswat, representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, had his first port of call at the McCarthy Study Centre, Obalende, on Tuesday, where he went around the exam halls and was impressed at the organisation of the ongoing POP examination at the centre.

The DVC rounded off his tour on Wednesday at the Lagos office, where assessed the ongoing examination, after which he met with the Lagos Study Centre director, Dr. Alero Akujobi for further findings regarding the examination and the state of the centre.

He promised that in a matter of days, all pending infrastructural issues including the generators at the former headquarters will be addressed.
